Josh and Curt of Flosstradamus are currently an unstoppable force, and their worldwide domination has taken them down under to perform in Australia during Miami Music Week. Even in their absence, though, the Floss brand is sure to make a mark on Miami – mainly with their new “Coco” remix. O.T. Genasis, the track’s original artist, dropped “Coco” to little acclaim before the track became a crowd favorite through major artist support, including a high number of electronic producers. While many have taken a crack at remixing the trap project, the HDYNATION is in luck; Flosstradamus saved some of their best work for the new take on “Coco.” Word is that a number of official remixes will soon be on the way from fellow electronic artists Jauz, Borgore, MAKJ, and others as well.

EDC Puerto Rico: (happened Feb. 21-22)

…and a bunch of rowdies ready to get weird in paradise.
As you probably know EDC Puerto Rico went off with a big ol’ bassy boom- day one featuring Flux Pavilion and Bassnectar, supported by Nervo, Crizzly, and Claude VonStroke. LA to Boulder based producer Kill Paris aka Corey has released two successful EPs with Skrillex’s OWSLA record label, but recently announced the launch of his very own record label Sexy Electric Records. His first release on the label will be his debut studio album Galaxies Between Us, and today we have the premiere of the very first song “Space Forest”.
The song has Corey aka Kill Paris experimenting with some new sounds and styles as we get a spacey, ambient electronic journey. Some people call it Future Bass, Kill Paris is calling it "Heavy Chill", which makes sense after listening. Before you have a second to realize what just happened the song is gone as quickly as it came, leaving you wanting oh so much more. This only gets us excited for what else this album will have in store for us. Listen to the premiere below and grab an exclusive free download for our readers. Kill Paris is also embarking on his biggest run of shows to date with a full North American headline tour stopping at over 40 cities. He will also be bringing around TSIS favorite Louis Futon as direct support for most of the tour, and Bees Knees will be supporting as well. See the full list of dates below. Enjoy!
As a first time Basslights attendee and a DMV (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia) native, I didn't really know what I was getting into when I made my way to Hampton, Virginia for the annual gathering of Bassheads dubbed Basslights. I had seen Bassnectar at HARD Day of the Dead but it was only a 45 minute set, making my initiation to the Bass Community pretty shortlived. The lineup for the first day of the two-day “Bassmas” celebration started off with Beats Antique, Exmag, Pretty Lights and of course Bassnectar. We got off to an early start, getting to the venue a few hours before the show to take part in the some of the most ridiculous and sought after Hotel shennanigans of the year.
Hopsin took the time to sit and break down the real reason behind him throwing in the towel on the Hip Hop Scene, check out the footage below! (Props if you noticed the Dumb and Dumber 2 reference)

One thing I really enjoyed listening to this track besides the funky groove lines and heavy 'trap' drop was the syncapated melodies. Not to mention just listening this makes me happy to know that the Floozies are big fans of analogue and live instruments - so this just pretty much makes me really giddy to go see them again. I'm not going to say much more just click play.

Buku, the New Orleans-based music and arts festival, is back for its fourth year. With previous lineups including heavy hitters like Diplo, Skrillex, A-Trak, Datsik, and Flying Lotus, it should be known that Buku throws the f**k down. And this year is shaping up to be much the same. The lineup just dropped. It is written.
