Buku, the New Orleans-based music and arts festival, is back for its fourth year. With previous lineups including heavy hitters like Diplo, Skrillex, A-Trak, Datsik, and Flying Lotus, it should be known that Buku throws the f**k down. And this year is shaping up to be much the same. The lineup just dropped. It is written.
Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Flosstradamus, Gramatik, Run the Jewels, Carmack, and Big Freedia, just to get started; the full lineup’s still on its way.
Like we told you, this festy’s about to sh** on its attendees.
Set in the industrial district by a Mardis Gras float factory, a trainyard, and the Mississippi River, Buku’s a welcome departure from the usual summer-transformational-festival-set-in-the-nature-type fare. This is not to say, however, that it won’t be scenic.
Buku is a music and arts festival, after all, and festival-goers can look forward to a wide variety of sculpture, installations, and pop-up performances- all in addition to the now famous graffiti wall. (It may be worth noting that all profits garnered from sold works of art go to charity. I’m just sayin’.) So to recap, we’ve got Buku- it’s gonna be tight, it’s gonna be groovy, it’s gonna be #waytooBuku.
Let’s get weird, y’all.
